How It Works
This intelligent system works in concert with Smart Cruise Control or Lane Following Assist to keep you centered on the road, following the car before you at a safe distance. Your speed is maintained using available highway data and GPS information, so you can travel with a clear mind.
How to Access Highway Driving Assist
The process is simple. In a few easy steps, you can enable Highway Driving Assist and get back on the road toward a better adventure.
- Select the Setup button on your dash
- Choose the Vehicle icon on your touchscreen
- Select Driver Assistance from the Vehicle Settings menu
- Select Driving Assist from the Driver Assistance menu
- Select or Unselect Highway Driving Assist
To use Highway Driving Assist, turn on Smart Cruise Control from the multifunction buttons on your steering wheel. Once engaged, the Driver Information Cluster will display SCC. Once it switches to HDA, Highway Driving Assist is activated and functioning.
Things to Remember
Highway Driving Assist is only available under the following conditions:
- Smart Cruise Control is engaged
- You're traveling on a road that is part of the interstate highway system
- Traveling speed is under 95 MPH
